Follow the instructions below to set up your EBSCOhost account and create Journal Alerts. If you need further assistance, please contact Carolyn Adams at adamsc@umich.edu.
To begin, go to Business Source Complete (EBSCO) database.
On the main page of Business Source Complete, click Sign In.
If you have already created an account, simply enter your username and password and click Login.
To create an account, select I'm a new user.
Enter your name and email address, and create a username and password.
Enter the journal title in the Find: box and select Publication. Click Search.
Select the journal title you want from the list of search results.
Click the Journal Alert link in the upper right hand corner to add this journal to your email alerts list.

You will be asked to define the parameters of your email alert. You can select how long the alert will run, the email address or addresses the alert will be sent to, the subject line of the alert email, and the email format.
Uncheck the box next to limit EBSCOhost access to only the articles sent, or you will not be able to search the database after clicking on an article title in your alert email.
Click Save.
You will know that your alert has been set up successfully when you receive a confirmation email (this should happen almost immediately) and a red bar with the text Journal Alert Set appears on the browse publication screen.
To edit your journal alerts, click on the Folder link at the top of the screen. Then select Journal Alerts and Edit Alert.
If you access your alert emails when you are not on the Ross School of Business campus, you will not be able to read the articles just by clicking on the link in the email. You will need to go to Business Source Complete directly from the A-Z Database Listing, then search by publication for the journal title and browse by date to the most recent issue.
