items)
- No cost supplemental or optional (sold separately from the traditional and does
NOT include copyright items)
- Course Name– including cross-listed courses
if applicable.
- Instructor(s) – be sure to list all instructors/GSI’s – if

be returned to the course coordinator when the packet
is complete.

be inlcluded in the course material packet unless specified
otherwise.
- Also list any exams or cases/materials to be handed out in class
A clean master copy or electronic files (preferred)
of all items to be included in the course material
packet. Please resubmit masters even if they were used
before.

How to submit
- Submit
cover page, citation page and a master copy or
electronic files to the Kresge Library Circulation Desk, Attn: Debie Gurkin.
- Submit electronic files via
email to KBALCurric@bus.umich.edu.
- Submit on or before the deadline date per term
(see submission schedule for approximate dates, actual dates will be emailed 1 month in advance.)
- Please contact Debie Gurkin if you would like to review your course material contents before they are released for sale.
Copyright
Kresge staff will search the library databases for your
course material contents – if an article
is located , copyright permissions may not need to be processed. This will save students money on copyright costs. Permission to use cases and all other copyright material with be processed by Kresge staff and the cost will be included in the packet.
Note: Please publish a CTools site per the required
deadline date per term if you will have a required
course material packet. Kresge Staff will post an
announcement and a url resource in your CTools
site providing students with information on how to
purchase their required course materials. Please
do not delete these items.
Course Reserves
The
Kresge Library offers both print and electronic reserves
services for your classes. Reserves can include Library
materials, syllabi, course notes, textbooks or other materials
to support your classes and provide your students
with equitable access.
Print Reserves
To
guarantee that print reserve materials will be available
in time for class assignments, please submit
your requests early as acquiring a book that the Library
does not already own can take several weeks. Please consider ordering an extra desk copy of the textbook when you place your textbook order - submit this extra copy for reserve if needed. Reserve materials may
be sent to the Library via campus mail or dropped off
at the Kresge Library Circulation Desk for
processing.
Requests
to place materials on printed reserve can be accommodated
throughout the semester by coming to
the Library’s Circulation Desk or filling out
our web-based form.
Electronic Reserves via CTools
Electronic reserves are available through CTools
to provide students in your class with remote access
and print capability for Library materials, syllabi,
course notes or other materials. Please feel free to
contact us at KBALCurric@bus.umich.edu to discuss how Electronic Reserves can work for you.
Course Syllabi Archive
Kresge
Library wants to make it easier for students to find
course information including course syllabi. In addition, Kresge Library would like
to create a school archive of course syllabi. To
that effect, we offer faculty the opportunity
to submit their syllabi to Kresge Library to be catalogued
and made available to students through the Kresge
Library Catalog. If
you are interested in submitting your syllabi for
this project, please send a pdf of your syllabus
as an attachment to an email to our Course Reserves
Coordinator, Tao Gong at KBALCurric@bus.umich.edu.

Instructional videocassettes are available to the University of Michigan Business
School Faculty and Staff from the Kresge Library and the Film and Video Library
(Part of the Shapiro Undergraduate Library).
Locating Videos
Check to see if either Kresge Library owns the video by checking our catalog
or see if the
UM Film and Video Library owns it by checking their catalog. If
you need assistance in locating a video please contact a librarian.
Borrowing Materials
Kresge Library owned videos are loaned for 2 hours. However, arrangements
for longer loan periods, up to a semester, are easily made. Contact Debie Gurkin for details.
UM Film and Video library borrowing information is found on at UM Film and
Video Library’s homepage.
Purchasing Videocassettes
Faculty are encouraged to purchase business related
videos through the Kresge Library. Funds are available to support these purchases and librarians
are ready to assist you. Orders can be submitted online.
For non-business related videos, you may submit purchase requests to the Film
and Video Library.
If you have any questions regarding videos, please contact Corey Seeman.
