Kresge Library is pleased to offer a new current awareness service to Ross School of Business Alumni. Business Source Premier is one of the top aggregators of business content and contains full-text access to over 800 scholarly business journals including Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review as well as popular titles like Fortune and Forbes. Alumni can set up an electronic table of contents notification and receive the table of contents of their favorite journals by email. Alumni can then follow the links to articles that interest them and access the full-text of these items. There is no cost to alumni for this service. Take advantage of it today!

Note: If you set up a Current Awareness Service as a student using TDNet, you will no longer be able to access it. Please create an account using Business Source Premier following the steps below.

Creating a Current Awareness Service Account

To create a current awareness account, follow the steps below:

Go to the Alumni Services page and click on Business Source Premier. Login to iMpact.
Make sure Business Source Premier is checked and click Continue.
Click Sign In to My EBSCOhost.
Click I'm a New User.
Fill out the form and click Submit. (Leave the Account Type at its default of Personal Account.)
Click OK.

Adding Journal Titles to Your Account

You can now begin adding journal titles to your account. You can modify these titles at any time by logging in to My EBSCOhost using the username and password information you just created. Once you are in Business Source Premier and have logged in, follow the steps below:

Click Publications.
Browse publications in alphabetical order or search using the Browse For box.
Click on the title of a publication you want to add to your current awareness service.
Click Journal Alert.
Fill out form and click Save.
You will receive an email confirmation of these changes to your account.

Retrieving Articles

You will begin to receive emails alerting you when new issues of publications in your account are available. To access the full-text of the issue, follow the steps below:

Go to the Alumni Services page and click on Business Source Premier.
Login to iMpact.
Make sure Business Source Premier is checked and click Continue.
Click Sign In to My EBSCOhost.
Click on My Folder to view the articles listed in your email alert.
