Amadeus

Access to data from Amadeus is now available through Orbis.

BankScope

This database provides detailed current and historical financial data plus additional information on 11,000 banks worldwide. Note: the export/download function is designed to work best from Internet Explorer. It will work from Netscape but you may encounter browser-related problems. Note: This database is for personal use only.

Best Practice Database

Best Practice Database is an online repository of primary business research including:

1. Benchmark Metrics (e.g., staffing levels, efficiency ratios, costs, and effectiveness ratings) that are used to identify performance gaps and market trends
2. Best Practices with detailed company examples that can guide decision-making and implementation
3. Case Studies that detail specific companies' challenges, actions taken, and improved results Topics cross all industries and functional areas and are based on interviews, surveys, and site visits with leaders at Fortune 500 and other leading companies. The Investext Plus content is fully integrated into this database. Search this database using a company name, ticker symbol, industry code or description, geographic location, or personal name.

This database provides economic, political, and industry sector analysis for 175 countries and is comprised of 3 components:
BMI Reports: Country Updates, Country Forecasts, Industry Surveys (14 major industries covered)
Data and Forecasts: Comparative Country Data; Risk Ratings; Market Consensus
Alerts and Analysis: Fixed Income, Equities, Currencies, Politics, Economics, Company and Industry

This database provides nearly 1,100 full text business magazines and journals, of which more than 350 are peer-reviewed. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, economics and more. Due to restrictions from Harvard Business School Publishing, full-text articles of the Harvard Business Review are not available through this database.

This database offers company and industry financial data and news stories, as well as full text articles in 6,000 trade publications, newspapers, newswires and magazines. Please use the 'Log Out' feature in Factiva when you are finished with your session

Faulkner's Advisory for IT Studies (FAITS)

This database is organized by key subject areas, FAITS users may click on any one of fourteen topical technology domains and gain immediate access to a library of reports from electronic business strategies, internet strategies, and wireless communications to application development, IT asset management and more. FAITS reports are written by researchers, analysts, and technical writers and can be used for tracking technology advancements and trends, strategic planning, competitive analysis, market awareness, implementation support, product and vendor evaluation.

Global Financial Data

Global Financial Data is an unparalleled source for historical stock market, financial, and economic data unavailable from any other online source. The GFD Database includes over 20,000 current and historical data series covering over 200 countries that have been collected from original sources. In fact, many of our series extend back more than two centuries.

IBISWorld Industry Snapshots cover over 680 Industries in the United State's economy. On these one page reports, you will find summary information on an industry. The information includes a general definition, main products or services, links to related industry reports, top companies, economic conditions, and geographic spread throughout the United States. In addition, Ross School of Business Alumni can purchase the full report for a 20% discount through this site.

InfoTech Trends

This database provides market research data on the information technology industry, covering such areas as computers, software, the Internet, and communications. Use this database to find market share, forecast sales and shipment data, and other market statistics.

Orbis

A replacement for the Amadeus database, Orbis has information about 40 million companies, including 18 million European companies from 46 countries, 16 million US and Canadian companies, 6.5 million South and Central American companies, 1.3 million Japanese companies, 300,000 Chinese companies, and 90,000 African companies. Orbis includes information about 30,000 banks and 8,000 insurance companies.

Tablebase

This database contains tabular data on companies, industries, products and demographics. Tables include market share, rankings, forecasts, shipments, output, consumption, users, imports, exports, capacity, etc. Over 25,000 tables added per year.

This database provides electronic access to WetFeet.com's company and industry Insider Guides. Each guide contains information on salaries, perks, interviews and much more on each specific topic. You must use Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher to view the reports.

Zephyr

Zephyr provides information about M&A, IPO, and venture capital deals. These include over a 500,000 transactions with up to 100,000 new deals added each year. Coverage goes back five years for international deals and back to 1997 for deals involving European and American companies.
