Executive Education

The Michigan Ross School of Business has decades-long experience in training corporate executives across a wide variety of industries worldwide. With more than 30 public program offerings and various custom programs, its Executive Education Center serves more than 4,000 business executives around the world.

The Executive Education Center, launched in 1935, and within a few years was offering an array of courses, conference, and workshops. Today, as world markets shift to accommodate newly advanced economic countries such as India, Ross School is well positioned to tackle both the challenges and the opportunities that Indian companies face in an increasingly competitive global environment.

In the past two decades, hundreds of executives at Indian companies have been trained through both open-enrollment and custom management-development programs taught in India by Ross School faculty. In 1994, C.K. Prahalad helped establish an open-enrollment executive program that continues to serve India’s business leaders. The India Initiatives, with its already significant footprint in India, will continue to build on that legacy as it partners with Indian businesses to formulate new knowledge creation and "next practices."

The India Initiatives offers two options for executive education training. In 1994, Ross School initiated its Executive Education Open Programs and, in 2005-2006, started its Executive Education Custom Programs.

Open Programs

The Ross School will offer management-development programs open to participants from a variety of organizations. The program is designed to enable senior executives to develop the needed perspective and skills to excel in the global marketplace.

Custom Programs

Ross School will partner with an organization to provide customized leadership training for its senior leaders and managers. The goal is to help organizations transform by developing leadership skills through competencies such as business strategy, co-creating value with customers and others, financial management, business innovation, information technology, and human-resource management.

Over the past eight years, Ross School has partnered with Tata to provide leadership training to more than 600 participants in 15 programs.

A three-year program, designed by Professor M.P. Narayanan, is intended to groom executives for the future of TVS.
