Alison Davis-Blake is an expert on strategic human resource management and organizational design for effective management of human capital. Her research interests include the effects of outsourcing on organizations and employees, organizational employment, salary, and promotion systems, and the determinants and consequences of using contingent workers. Davis-Blake has held editorial positions with the Administrative Science Quarterly and Academy of Management Review. She has taught courses in organization theory, organizational behavior, and strategic human resource management for undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral students. She has also taught on these topics in a wide variety of executive education programs. She recently completed a three-year term as a board member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premiere accrediting body for business schools worldwide. She joined Ross as dean on July 1, 2011.
