Dr. Wright's current research interests include the topics of off-balance sheet financing through operating leases; delayed recognition of corporate defined benefit pension obligations; and the relations between corporate governance mechanisms, audit and consulting fees paid to public accounting firms, corporate political contributions and the quality of financial reporting and auditing.
