Alfred L Edwards BBSA Conference
  Time: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Location: Blau Auditorium, Colloquium

Since starting with two students in 1970, the BBSA at the University of Michigan has been a center for academic and professional excellence. With over 70 members, the BBSA continues to serve the needs of Ross Students in professional, academic and community development. With a legacy of hundreds of alumni members, we strive to improve awareness of diversity in business at Ross and throughout the business community.“Dr. E” was a tireless advocate for change in business and education. He inspired every student who sat in his office, and this conference serves as a tribute to his legacy and a reminder of the opportunity we have to make an impact at Ross, in our careers, and in the world. We are pleased that you can join our BBSA family for the weekend. Our keynote speakers, panelists, and alumni hold the voice to have our conference theme resonate with our attendees.

Saturday's speakers include Trudy Bourgeois and Jorge Quezada.

Trudy Bourgeois (@trudybourgeois) is a renowned and respected authority on leadership development, change management and workplace transformation. She is a bestselling author, speaker and coach. And she is a teacher at heart. Trudy believes that when people can learn and grow, they can achieve. Which ultimately empowers them to LEAD!

After a successful career as a senior sales and marketing executive who managed teams of thousands and a $3 billion budget, Bourgeois took all her experience and passion and founded The Center for Workforce Excellence (CWE) in 2001. Fortune 100 and 500 companies such as Intel, PepsiCo and ConAgra credit CWE with advancing their talent management initiatives and more. Trudy is a featured blogger for The Huffington Post, writes for numerous magazines and publications (including The Washington Post and Harvard Business Review blog).

Jorge Quezada joined the Kraft Foods Group (@kraftfoods) family from Allstate where he held the role of Director of Inclusive Diversity.  In this role, he was responsible for ensuring Allstate had inclusive diversity strategies in place to effectively contribute to the company’s growth initiatives.  Jorge enjoyed 27 years with Allstate where he began his career as Human Resources Representative and ascended to various leadership roles in human resources, sales, claims and product operations and marketing through the years.

As Kraft’s new Chief Diversity Officer, he is building organizational awareness and capability, uncovering synergies with the business units and functions, and turbocharging its employee resource groups to advance the company’s business goals.
