Launched by Ross School of Business MBA students in 2010, Revitalization & Business connects University of Michigan students with Detroit’s evolving business landscape. R&B promotes Detroit’s assets and encourages students to Discover, Engage with and Commit to the revitalization of the Motor City.
R&B hosts an annual capstone conference examining key business initiatives in Detroit. We also organize excursions and plan events to highlight the city’s career opportunities, rich culture, and quality of life.
Keynote speakers for this year's conference include Kevyn Orr, the Emergency Manager of Detroit and Faye Nelson, President and CEO of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy.
The University of Michigan's Ross Energy Club presents the fifth annual Renewable Energy Case Competition (RECC). The RECC is a traditional style case competition that will take place at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business on Thursday and Friday, December 5th and 6th, 2013. Sixteen MBA teams from the nation’s top business schools will compete to solve one of the many significant challenges facing the renewable energy industry today. A sound understanding of finance, business strategy, and the energy industry will be required to effectively analyze the case and devise a successful solution.
