Alumni Board of Governors
The Alumni
Board of Governors represents the alumni community of
the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Its semiannual
meetings provide a forum for an exchange of ideas
between the Board and the Ross School. The Board strives
to strengthen the network and enhance communication
among faculty, alumni, students and friends of the Ross
School.
Board History
The Alumni Board of Governors was established in 1983
by Dean Gil Whitaker (1979-1990) as an advisory group
representing a cross-section of Ross School alumni. The
Board's purpose was, and remains, to advise the Dean and
Development & Alumni Relations on the focus and
direction of Ross School programs and initiatives. Board
membership has grown over the past 20 years from a small
planning committee of a half-dozen people to over 100
alumni having served the school over this span.
