All applicants
are strongly encouraged to take the GMAT prior to applying
for UpClose; however, this action is not a prerequisite for
application.

Priority will be
given to candidates who plan to apply for the Fall 2010 entry to
the full-time MBA program at Ross.
Your application to
UpClose will in no way, positively or negatively, impact your
actual admissions application to the MBA program.
We encourage you to
plan for your application before beginning the process.

APPLICATION STEPS
Please read through the required
steps below before beginning your application. If you'd like to
begin working on your application offline, the essay question
and document guidelines are listed below.
Step 1: Create login ID and password
Once you have created a
login and password, you may access the application and essay,
resume & activities uploads any time until 11:59 p.m. (EST) on
Monday,
September 17, 2009.
Step 2: Application
Applicants are asked for personal
information, work experience and education.
Step 3: Document Upload
Applicants are asked to upload a
current resume, two essays and a list of activities and community
involvement.
Resume Upload:
Please attach your most up-to-date resume. Note: Please save your resume as LastnameFirstname_resume.doc
(e.g., SmithNancy_resume.doc).
Essay Upload:
Please provide answers to BOTH essay questions listed below.
Responses should be limited to 250-400 words, in 11 point font, 1.5
line space. Note: Put your full name at the top of each page. Please save
your essays in one document as LastnameFirstname_essays.doc.
Essay 1: Please describe your future career plans and how an MBA will help
you attain your short-term and long-term goals.
Essay 2:
UpClose seeks to promote the advancement of underrepresented
minorities in management by attracting prospective Business School
students of any race or ethnicity with a demonstrated commitment to
that purpose. Accordingly, please describe how you have or intend to
support the advancement of underrepresented minorities (African
Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans) in academic or
professional settings.
Activities
Upload: Please list your principal extracurricular activities in
order of their importance to you. Please include dates; offices
held, if any; time commitment. Note: Please put your full name at the top of each page and save
your activities page as LastnameFirstname_activities.doc.
Step 4: Confirmation
Your application for UpClose will not
be reviewed until all steps of the application are complete and
submitted, and you've received your application confirmation. All
steps of the application must be complete and submitted no later
than September 17, 2009 to be eligible for review.
