Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to attend Ross
Preview Day as a way to visit the campus and learn more about the
program. However, I also want to apply by the first round
application deadline (October 10th) which falls prior to Ross
Preview Day. What should I do?
A: While visiting campus prior to
applying can help you assess whether the Ross MBA program is the
right fit for you, we know that it may be difficult to do so before
the Round I application deadline, or that you may prefer to attend
one of our preview events. If that's the case, you can learn about
Ross through other resources:
1) Meet a Ross representative at one of our
information sessions or at an
MBA fair around the world
2) Connect with a
Ross Ambassador (current student)
If you do decide to visit campus before the Round I deadline, we
encourage you to take advantage of our
Class Visit & Tour Program. These run Monday through Thursday
(we don't have classes on Fridays).
Q: Where should I stay
during the Ross Preview Day?
A: There are
numerous hotels in the area. Please click
here to find a list of hotels close to Ross.
Q: Where is the Ross School of
Business located?
A: The main entrance to Ross is
located at 710 East University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Once
you arrive in the main lobby, please follow the signs for
registration.
Q: How do I get to the University of
Michigan?
A: If you are flying, please
book your tickets to Detroit International Airport (DTW).
Detroit is a Northwest Airlines hub, but is also serviced by most
other major airlines. The airport is 30 minutes drive from the
University of Michigan campus. Taxis form the airport to Ann
Arbor typically cost ~$50 - $60. The
Ann Arbor Airport Shuttle rates run slightly cheaper. A
third alternative is the
Michigan
Flyer. This shuttle services Ann Arbor at the Four Points
Sheraton, which is a few dollar cab ride from Ross.
Q: If I am driving, what are the
directions to Ross?
A: Detailed directions to the
school are available
here.
Please note that like many university
campuses, parking is limited at the University of Michigan. However,
should you choose to drive, the
Forest Avenue Parking Structure is the closest public lot.
Parking validation will be provided for the Forest Avenue Parking
Structure (located on the corner of Williard and South Forest).
Q: How do I find my way around Ross?
A: Maps will be provided when
you check in at the registration table and directional signs will be
posted in the lobby of the business school.
Q: What is the dress code for the Ross
Preview Day?
A: Most prospective students
wear business casual clothing for Ross Preview Day. Formal
attire is not required.
Q: What if I have more questions?
