Weekend MBA Format

At Ross, we understand that hiring companies want leaders who can synthesize many perspectives in order to assess different kinds of risks and opportunities. Thus, we designed the Weekend MBA Format to provide a dynamic, multidisciplinary approach to understanding the roles of different functional areas when real organizations address real challenges.

Students in the Weekend Format earn the MBA degree in two years, beginning in May. Weekend classes are held twice a month on Fridays and Saturdays. A total of 60 credits is required to earn the Ross MBA.  Our Weekend MBA calendar is now posted with on-campus dates highlighted in red.

  • Friday classes are held from 4 – 9:10 p.m., with a dinner break.
  • Saturday classes are held from 9 a.m. – 5:10 p.m., with three breaks.

Roughly 25 percent of the coursework will be done through distance learning. The remaining sessions will be in Ann Arbor; a few sessions may be held at our Southfield campus.

Students in the Weekend Format also will complete the Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP) course as part of the MBA core. Teams of four to six students work on 14-week projects sponsored by companies. Students must commit to a full week of travel and/or on-site work in late February/early March of the first year.
