Ross Preview Day
A general overview of the full-time Ross MBA program

October 10, 2008
Ann Arbor

Ross Preview Day enables you to get more in-depth information about MAP, our Institutes, clubs, recruiting, student life and other aspects of the Ross MBA program through panel discussions with students and staff. Additionally, there will be a Q&A session with the Director of Admissions who will provide application and interview tips, and transparency into the admissions process. If you would like to attend a class, we encourage you to come a day early as classes are held Monday-Thursday only. In addition, on Thursday evenings, the Ross Students Association hosts a weekly Happy Hour during which you can meet and mingle with Ross students more informally.

A Ross MBA from the female perspective

October 30-November 1
Ann Arbor

This event offers prospective MBA students an opportunity to learn more about the Ross MBA program from the perspective of female students, faculty and alumnae. A variety of panels, workshops and social events, held on campus, will enable prospective students to learn about the paths taken by Ross women before, during and after their MBA. Participation in this event is by application only; the event is open to applicants of any gender who have demonstrated commitment or intent to promote the advancement of women in management. Applications are due by Monday, September 15th and candidates will be notified of their status by Tuesday, September 23rd.

The underrepresented minority experience at Ross

November 6-November 8
Ann Arbor

The Ross Black Business Students Association and Hispanic & Latin Business Students Association coordinates a preview weekend for prospective MBA students interested in learning about the Ross MBA program from the perspective of an underrepresented minority student. The weekend will include a variety of workshops, panels, and social events, held on campus. Participation in this event is by application only; the event is open to applicants of any race or ethnicity who have demonstrated commitment or intent to promote the advancement of underrepresented minorities in management. Applications are due by Monday, September 22nd and candidates will be notified of their status by Monday, October 6th.

Ambassador Fridays

Offered on Select Fridays from September-April

This program offers a mini-glimpse into the life of a Ross student for those who are unable to attend a Class Visit & Tour program or a Preview Friday.  Over coffee, our student Ambassadors will share their experiences and candidly answer your questions on all facets of life at Ross.  You will spend additional time with current students as you tour the facilities and gain a broad overview of our community, program, and student life.

Class Visits and Tours

Offered on Select Monday-Thursdays from September-April

This program offers you a taste of a day in the life of a Ross student.  Over coffee, our student Ambassadors will share their experiences and candidly answer your questions on all facets of life at Ross.  You will spend additional time with current students as you tour the facilities and gain a broad overview of our community, program, and student life.  This program also provides two opportunities to attend classes and truly experience action-based learning in the classroom environment.  Additionally, visiting on a Thursday gives you an opportunity to interact with our students on an informal basis at a Happy Hour sponsored by the Ross Students Association.

Ross MBA students are exposed to cutting edge thought and its applications through a range of focused learning opportunities available through the school's leading institutes and centers.  Below is a list of these institutes and centers and key events open to prospective MBA students.  Make the most of your visit to Ross and add a class visit and tour to your trip (held Monday-Thursday).

Operations:  The Tauber Institute for Global Operations

Spotlight! 2008:  September 12, 2008.  See current Tauber students present their summer internship findings and compete for academic scholarships.

Global Operations Conference:  November 7, 2008.  Please register and enter discount code D12071 to waive $100 fee.


Business & Society:  The Nonprofit and Public Management Center (NPM)
