Beyond the Classroom

As a student in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan's Master of Accounting program, you will enjoy access to a rich range of academic, cultural, social and career-oriented opportunities within the school and throughout the University. MAcc candidates are encouraged to pursue their unique career objectives by taking advantage of a wide array of activities as well as capitalizing on proximity to accomplished faculty, research and world-class university resources.

Whether its increasing your portfolio of skills as a Graduate Student Instructor or seeking to maximize recruiting performance via mock interviews with Career Center staff, there are plenty of areas in which to take full advantage of your time at Michigan. In addition, you’ll be introduced to new career options, including outstanding summer internship programs available prior to enrollment to help sharpen your skills and enhance your long-range career objectives.

These programs and others provide a variety of opportunities designed to enhance your overall experience as well as bridge the gap between classroom discussion and real world application. Participation in engaging special assignments, competitions, conventions and industry forums is also encouraged to provide additional development. From start to finish, the MAcc program’s best-in-class training and resources give you the flexibility to explore your options as a student and fulfill your long-term professional aspirations as a graduate.
