Tauber Project Stories

One of the exciting advantages of being a student of the Master of Supply Chain Management program is an automatic affiliation with the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. The inaugural class of the Master of Supply Chain Management program will begin their studies in January of 2009. Below, current and past Tauber students share their enthusiasm for the paid, team-based summer projects on which they worked.

"Being associated with the Tauber Institute for Global Manufacturing through the Ross School helped me tremendously when it came to interviewing. I brought my Boeing experience and a new level of confidence to every interview. Each offer I received was from a company affiliated with Tauber. Ultimately, I took a position with GE Aviation."

Tauber Class of: 2008
Project Sponsor: The Boeing Company

"The Tauber project has helped my recruiting efforts. Our team worked with the organization that is responsible for conducting the R&D on the materials which are now being used in the Boeing 787. Our recommendations resulted in savings of $7 million in test asset reduction and $5 million in annual overhead. Now I am able to talk about the value we added to the organization and the exposure we had to high level executives throughout our 14-week project."
