The Ross MBA curriculum offers a combination of rigorous fundamentals, practical experience, and the freedom to explore.
Year One:
The first year provides a broad-based management curriculum with the opportunity to add electives and begin investigating different topics of interest. The core curriculum provides the foundation, covering all key functional business areas. Ross is dedicated to creating a highly engaging, challenging, and academically rigorous learning environment. A wide range of collaborative, entrepreneurial, and leadership experiences, both within and beyond the classroom, culminate in our signature Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP) course. MAP requires all first-year students to integrate analytical tools with teamwork and leadership development inside an actual firm or non-profit organization.
Year Two:
The second year is completely customized by you to meet your needs and go deeper into specific areas. You will choose from electives at Ross and other top-ranked graduate and professional schools at the University of Michigan. You may want to broaden your MBA to explore leadership, social enterprise, emerging markets, or operations. Perhaps you are interested in entrepreneurial management or environmentally sustainable business. Ross also offers 25 dual-degree options in cooperation with other U-M schools and colleges.
