Admission to the Ross School of
Business Evening MBA program is highly competitive. Ross is
extremely proud of the diversity and quality of its students,
and is committed to individually assessing the merits of each
applicant. Applications are evaluated on managerial and
leadership potential as reflected in each applicant’s record of
professional accomplishments, academic achievement and results
of the Graduate Management Admissions Test. In addition,
personal
essays and professional
recommendations are used to
evaluate a candidate. Ross seeks students who have demonstrated
strong leadership in personal and professional pursuits and who
exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Applicants typically have at least two years of work experience
with most having four or more years. The Admissions Committee
may request an interview, and are by invitation only.

The Ross School of Business welcomes applications from graduates
of accredited colleges and universities in all areas of study,
including liberal arts, engineering, as well as the social and
physical sciences. No previous management courses are required,
although applicants are expected to be proficient in
communications skills, basic computer applications and
mathematics through the calculus level. Applicants who have not
attended a U.S. educational institution or an institution where
English is not the primary language of instruction are also
required to take the TOEFL.Ross has no prerequisite courses
for admission to the MBA program. However, due to the
analytical rigor of the program, it is expected that students
have a working knowledge of college-level mathematics. Students
needing a math refresher are encouraged to take a course prior
to beginning the program.
Before Applying You Must
- Complete the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor's
degree. Accordingly, we reserve the right to review the
academic records of international applications and to
determine whether the academic credentials presented from a
non-U.S. institution qualify for consideration.
- Take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). International students must also take the Test
of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if their first
