Application Guidelines





The application deadline for this event is September 2, 2013. 

NOTE: This is the only application prospective students need to complete to attend the Women in Leadership Conference.

Criteria for selection include:

  • Demonstrated commitment or intent to promote the advancement of women in management

  • Professional background and post-MBA goals

  • All applicants are strongly encouraged to take the GMAT prior to applying for Empowering Women; however, this action is not a prerequisite for application.

  • Please note: event is open to applicants of any gender


Please read through the required steps below before beginning your application. If you'd like to begin working on your application offline, the essay questions and other documents required are listed below.

Step 1: Create login ID and password
Once you have created a login and password, you may access the application and essay, resume, & activities uploads any time until 11:59 p.m. EST on September 2, 2013.

Step 2: Application
Applicants are asked for personal information, work experience and education.

Step 3: Document Upload
Applicants are asked to upload a current resume, two essays and a list of activities & community involvement.

Essay Guidelines

  • Question 1: Please describe your future career plans and how an MBA will help you attain your short-term and long-term goals. Please limit your response to 250-400 words per essay.

  • Question 2:  The Women in Leadership Conference seeks to promote the advancement of women in management by attracting prospective MBA students, of any gender, with a demonstrated commitment to that purpose.  Please let us know why you are interested in attending and what you hope to gain from the experience.

Step 4: Confirmation
Your application will not be reviewed until all steps of the application are complete and submitted and you've received your application confirmation.
