Why Ross?

We connect the learning process to real business through an action-based approach that gives executives the tools and experience to lead change and innovation. Programming is offered at our home campus in Ann Arbor, Mich., and will be offered in Los Angeles beginning in fall 2012. The Financial Times ranks the Michigan Ross EMBA No. 2 in general management and No. 4 in corporate strategy.

General Management Curriculum with a Focus on Strategy

The rigorous EMBA curriculum approaches general management from a strategic level. Coursework is customized to accommodate students' significant expertise. EMBA candidates have an average of 10-15 years of experience with more than five years of supervisory experience.

Personalized Leadership Development

At Michigan Ross, we emphasize development of personal leadership styles, goals, and competencies. Students hone key skills required of top executives: working with boards, the media, and investors, as well as managing teams and relationships.

Action-based Learning

The Executive Multidisciplinary Action Projects (ExecMAP) course is a real-time, in-company consulting experience in which student teams confront and resolve actual business issues faced by a corporate sponsor. Many EMBAs use ExecMAP to gain exposure to international businesses or entrepreneurial ventures.

One Weekend per Month

Our once-a-month format means Ross EMBA students spend more time working and less time traveling. The classroom experience is complemented by the convenience and connectivity of distance learning.

Two Campuses, One MBA

In fall 2012, the Michigan Ross EMBA will be delivered in Los Angeles as well as Ann Arbor. Students will benefit from expansive networking opportunities through integrated residencies and shared online learning communities.
