Overview of Financial Aid Resources
Financial Aid to assist with your educational expenses may include
support for our US Veterans, US Federal loans, and private
loans. For details on these options, please refer to
our Financial Aid web pages maintained
here.
That link connects both U.S. citizens and international students
to the resources and steps involved in filing for federal aid or
searching for private loans. In addition, we highlight some
programs below.
United States Veterans Support
Post 9/11 GI Bill – Chapter 33 and Yellow Ribbon Program
* Ross is proud to participate in the Chapter 33 – Yellow Ribbon
program. Student U.S. military veterans who qualify for Chapter 33 benefits
at 100% will qualify to receive Yellow Ribbon funding at Ross. The VA and
Ross benefits added together will cover full tuition and fees. You will also
receive a housing and book stipend directly from the VA each term you are
enrolled at Ross.
* For access to most benefits, you must
certify your enrollment at the University of Michigan. Certifying
Officials for Veterans Benefits in the
Office of the Registrar can assist with this process. Visit U-M Veteran's Connection for more details and a link to apply
for the program.
Federal and/or Private Loans
Participants in the Ross EMBA Program may be eligible for federal and/or private loans. Private loans are available for both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens with proper visa status. Financial aid considerations usually begin only after a candidate has been admitted to the program. It is possible to borrow the entire cost of your education at reasonable interest rates. (Most loans are based on credit-worthiness rather than on need; as such, the majority of candidates are eligible for loans. Specific eligibility is determined by private lenders.)
U. S. citizens and permanent resident students usually first consider Federal Direct Loans because of lower repayment costs, and then consider
the Federal Grad PLUS loan or a private loan. These loan sources can
be used to supplement the balance of cost of attendance not borrowed
through the Federal Direct Loan Program.
International Student Loans
Details regarding international loan programs are provided
here, as well as this link to
private lenders
programs.
Ross international students may borrow from
private lenders; however, most will require a US citizen or
permanent resident co-signer.
