Jeanny David, Student Coordinator
Jeanny (pronounced Jenny) is a proud alumna of New York University,
where she earned her BS in Communications with a minor in Media
Communications. Prior to coming to the Ross School of Business, she was
a children’s book writer, concentrating on textbooks. As an educational
editor, Jeanny developed innovative techniques to make learning fun.
From engaging students in the use of CSI television programming as
multimedia addition, to writing forensic science lesson plans, to
encouraging students to view classics such as Oliver Twist as a
visualization exercise when learning about the Industrial Revolution,
Jeanny was always using her creativity to make education enjoyable for
her target audience. While she enjoyed the energy and creative freedom
of publishing, Jeanny’s desire to be a marketing executive led her to
apply to business school. A true New Yorker (born and bred in Brooklyn),
Jeanny decided to leave her only known hometown and venture off to the
Midwest. As a Consortium Fellow at the University of Michigan, she has
thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and diversity the Ross School of
Business has to offer. True to her Media and Communications
undergraduate roots, Jeanny spent her summer at Citi developing
partnership promotional campaigns for the Youth Markets business
development team. With leadership positions in the Black Business
Students Association, Dance Fusion, and the Media & Entertainment Club,
Jeanny spends a lot of time on campus. When she has free time, Jeanny
enjoys dancing, drawing, and traveling to as many tropical locations as
she can find bargains to.
Aisha Taylor, Student Coordinator
Aisha graduated Duke University with a bachelor’s
degree in both Economics and Public Policy and a minor in Chemistry. Prior
to business school Aisha worked in Health Care Administration, and she is
now leveraging that experience. In addition to earning an MBA with an
emphasis in Finance at Ross, Aisha can also be found in the School of Public
Health, where she is pursuing a Master of Health Services Administration.
Although a native Midwesterner who is proud of being from the Cleveland
area, Aisha decided to venture to the east coast to spend the summer as a
Finance intern in the Strategic Business Group at Ortho-McNeil
Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. In this capacity Aisha
worked on the financial analysis behind the contracting strategy and
improved the contract/no contract analogs. As a Consortium member, Aisha
feels a strong desire to ensure that the Ross School of Business continue to
recruit top students from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented
minorities. Therefore, from the onset of her experience at Ross, she knew
that she wanted to be the UpClose Co-chair representing the Black Business
School Association (BBSA). In addition to her roles with UpClose and the
BBSA, Aisha holds a leadership position in the University of Michigan
Business Students Association (UMBSA). In her free time Aisha enjoys
shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and pet
rabbit Simba. |
