Due to space constraints, participation in the UpClose event is by invitation
only. We encourage you to apply on-line no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday,
October 7.
Candidates will be notified of their status by October 12, 2007.

2008 entry to Ross’ fulltime MBA program
All applicants are strongly encouraged to take the GMAT prior to applying for
UpClose; however, this action is not a prerequisite for attending UpClose.
APPLICATION STEPS
Please read
through the required steps below before beginning your application. If you’d
like to begin working on your application offline, the
essay question and document guidelines are listed below.
Step 1: Create login ID and password
Once you have created a login and password, you may access the application and
essay, resume, & activities uploads any time until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday,
October 7.
Step 2: Application
Applicants are asked for personal information, work experience, and education.
Step 3: Document Upload
Applicants are asked to upload a current resume, two essays, and a list of
activities & community involvement.
Resume Upload: Please attach your most up-to-date résumé.
Note: Please save your résumé as LastnameFirstname_résumé.doc (e.g.,
SmithNancy_resume.doc).
Essay Upload : Please provide answers to BOTH essay questions listed
below. Responses should be limited to 250-400 words, in 11 point font, 1.5 line
space.
Note: Put your full name at the top of each page. Please save your essays in
one document as LastnameFirstname_essays.doc.
- Essay 1: Please describe your future career plans and how an MBA will
help you attain your short-term and long-term goals.
- Essay 2: UpClose seeks to improve the representation of minorities in
business schools and in management by attracting prospective business school
students, of any race or ethnicity, with a demonstrated commitment to that
purpose. Accordingly, please describe how you have helped address the
problems and/or possibilities of improving the representation of minorities
in an educational or work setting.
Activities Upload: Please list your principal extracurricular
activities in order of their importance to you. Please include dates; offices
held, if any; time commitment.

Step 4: Confirmation
Your application for UpClose will not be reviewed until all steps of the
application are complete and submitted, and you’ve received your application
confirmation.
