CIBE International BBA Summer Program
As an undergraduate in the BBA program, you now have a unique opportunity to
study abroad at prestigious universities in Asia or Europe during you sophomore
or junior year, rather than waiting until you enter graduate school.
The International BBA Summer Program enables undergraduates with an interest
in international business to travel to Beijing, China, or to Koblenz, Germany
and Bratislava, Slovakia, for three weeks of intensive study and exploration.
All students receive three credits for participating in this study abroad
program. The timing of the programs should not preclude students from
accepting summer internships.
Once you arrive at your destination, daily classroom instruction in English
will familiarize you with the history, language, economic environment, business
culture, and foreign-investment dynamics of your host country. Visits to
state-run factories and local or multinational companies will enable you to tour
manufacturing facilities and to speak with managers about their technological
innovations and production challenges.
As a group, you will take day trips to nearby cities and historic or
culturally important sites. During your free time, you will be able to explore
local shops and markets and attend sports and performing-arts events. Your daily
interactions with other students and local residents in your host country will
help you broaden your cultural understanding and sharpen your language skills.
*During the summer of 2008, CIBE may offer a new program in Latin America*
