Transfer Students
Admission Requirements
The Ross BBA Program accepts transfer applications from students who are currently enrolled in a college or university located in the United States and who have not yet completed a bachelor’s degree.
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for transfer admission:
- Complete the equivalent of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor's courses in First-Year Writing, Economics 101, and Calculus I, II, or III, each with a grade of C or better, by June 1.
- AP Math scores of 4 or 5 will substitute for the required course in calculus.
- IB Economics (HL) scores of 5 or above will substitute for the required course in economics.
- IB Math (HL) scores of 4 or above will substitute for the required course in calculus.
- A-level scores may or may not substitute for the required courses in economics and calculus; please review the U-M policies on A-levels.
- Earn at least 27 credits that will transfer to U-M Ann Arbor, each with a grade of C or better, by June 1.
- At least the final 13.5 of these credits must be earned in the United States. The Ross BBA program does not accept transfer students directly from institutions located outside the US.
- AP, IB, and A-level credits do not count toward the 27 required credits.
We urge prospective transfers to consider whether their courses will meet the admission requirements before submitting an application.
Admission is highly selective. We evaluate all applicants according to the same criteria, and we do our best to create a fair basis of comparison among applicants from widely differing schools. About 1% of last year's entering class were admitted as transfer students.
