The Ross BBA

The Ross BBA delivers a fast-paced, action-based, and team-oriented approach to leadership development.  Students learn to deliver real results as they collaborate on multi-faceted projects that connect coursework to actual business practice.

Our students learn to think and act as well-rounded, global citizens -- first through a liberal arts foundation that covers mathematics, natural science, social science, and the humanities, and then through a rigorous Core grounded in the functional areas of business, from finance to marketing.

About the Degree

The Ross BBA is a three-year program with a year's worth of prerequisites.  Most students begin the program during their sophomore year.  It requires:

  • 45+ business credits
    • 36 credits in BBA Core courses, taken in sequence, together with your cohort
    • 9+ credits in BBA elective courses
  • 54+ non-business credits
    • Must include Distribution credits in 3 of the following 4 areas:
      • Humanities (9+ credits)
      • Natural Science and/or Math and Symbolic Analysis (9+ credits)
      • Social Science (9+ credits, excluding Economics 101 and 102)
      • Foreign Language (skills equivalent to 4 terms of language study at UM-Ann Arbor)
    • Can include up to 45 college credits completed before admission to the BBA program, including AP, IB, A-level, and transfer credit
  • 120 credits total
    • Can include up to 45 college credits completed before admission to the BBA program, including AP, IB, A-level, and transfer credit
  • Full-time, fall-winter enrollment for three continuous years

  • Optional minors are available in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (75+ fields of study)

    • Music, Theatre, and Dance
    • Sports Management (Kinesiology)
