| ACC 640.001 |
IOE 425* -- see note below |
| LHC 517.001 |
IOE 466.001 |
| MKT 615.001 |
IOE 549.001 |
| MKT 630.001 & 003 |
* Note that we are working with the IOE
department to open IOE 425 for MSCM students. For additional
information please contact the MSCM program manager at
rossmscm@umich.edu |
| STRATEGY 503.001 & 004 |
| STRATEGY 681.002 |
- MSCM students may *not* register for Finance courses as the
elective in the Winter term, as Finance electives all require
pre-requisite course work which you have not met.
- Check Your Account for Financial Holds:
- Review your Student Account status on Wolverine Access
to confirm that no Holds (Service Indicators) are in place which would
block your registration into classes. Check even if you are sure your
statement is okay. We do not anticipate any concerns with your account
but advise that you check this your status.
- If you do have a financial hold, clear your bills.
- Request Student Financial Operations
or the cashier to lift your financial hold. This is not done
automatically. Call 734-764-7447. Then notify
Rossacadservices@umich.edu
so that we can pre-register your core classes.
- Review the Schedule of Classes: The Winter 2009 Schedule of Classes
is viewable on Wolverine Access
and the
Registrar's website.
These sites indicate the times/dates/places for your elective options.
- Check prerequisites: You are responsible for meeting the
course prerequisites for any elective you elect. Check the Course Descriptions
thoroughly for course prerequisites.
- If a prerequisite is listed in the system as a "Course"
prerequisite - Wolverine Access will NOT allow you to register
for the course unless you have completed the course in a prior
term.
- If a prerequisite is "Advisory", Wolverine Access
will allow you to enroll without having fulfilled the
requirement; however, instructors reserve the right to remove
you at a later (less convenient) date. Please review
prerequisite information CAREFULLY, and contact the
instructor/department or Academic Services if you have any
questions.
- Remember core classes: Any elective you select must fit
around the pre-registered classes on your Winter schedule -- we
cannot move your core to accommodate an elective.
- Course Load: A normal full-time course load is about 15
credit hours a term, with a maximum of 18 credits. While the
University does allow students to select up to 18 credits
per term, this is a heavy academic load to carry along with the Boot
Camp activities which will be occurring this Winter term.
Additionally, the MSCM program is a two-semester program with
graduation expected in December 2009. Because of the careful
sequencing of core, we do not have flexibility to allow part-time
enrollment in this program.
II. Review Core Schedule: November 17
- December 9
- Review your core course schedule on
Wolverine Access: In
early November Academic Services will pre-register MSCM students
into the core Winter core courses. You will be able to see this schedule
(with times) on Wolverine Access
once we complete this process.
- Ensure that you have cleared any
Financial Holds on your account and notified
Rossacadservices@umich.edu.
III. Register for Winter Elective Class:
December 10 - January 4
(return to top of page)
- Wednesday, December 10: Registration
appointment times begin for newly admitted graduate students. Students will be able to modify
their course schedules via
Wolverine Access to add an
approved elective to their Winter schedule.
- Add/Drop classes & obtain Permissions for closed classes:
View the
Registration Calendar as well as the
Academic Calendar
for the specific drop/add deadlines. After the drop/add deadline, you
must have your drop/add form signed by Academic Services, and any drop
must be accompanied by a completed
Drop Verification Form
(available from Academic Services). For more instructions on modifying
your schedule and getting permissions for closed classes:
- Be aware of Class Attendance Policies: At the discretion of the
instructor, students may be dropped from a class if they do not attend
the first class meeting for a once-a-week class, or the first two class
meetings for a twice-a-week class. Be sure to review the
CTools site for
each class for additional attendance guidelines.
