Course Registration

Be sure to review all the information below about Fall registration carefully!!

  1. Prepare for Course Registration & Meet with an Advisor: March 3 - 30
  2. Backpack: March 19 - 30
  3. Register for Winter Classes: March 31 - September 1

Course Registration Timeline for Fall 2008

I. Prepare for Course Registration: March 3 - 30

  1. Know your Academic Requirements for Sophomore BBA Admission
    Preferred Admit BBAs need to complete the following courses during the Freshman year in order to retain admission to the BBA Program:
    • MATH 115 (Calculus)

    • ECON 101

    • First-Year College of LSA Writing Requirement or equivalent writing course as noted in the LSA Bulletin

    • Minimum 27 earned credits at the University of Michigan at the end of the Winter 2008 term

    • Minimum Cumulative Grade point average of 3.3 at the end of the Winter 2008 term

  2. Know the required Fall 2008 Business core for Sophomore BBAs
    Select an open seat in each of the following courses when registration begins:

    • ACC 271 (Note: Section 010 is reserved for non-BBA Juniors and above, and section 016 is reserved for CSP students. Preferred Admit BBAs may register for any of the remaining open and published sections.)
    • BE 300: register for any of the five open sections
    • BIT 200: register for any of the five open sections
    • Econ 102: if not already completed
  3. Review the Schedule of Classes: On Monday, March 3 the Fall 2008 Schedule of Classes will be viewable in the LSA course guide, on Wolverine Access, and on the Registrar's website.
  4. Check Your Account for Financial Holds:
    1. Review your Student Account status on Wolverine Access to confirm that no Holds (Service Indicators) are in place which would block your registration into classes. Check even if you are sure your statement is okay!
    2. Clear your bills.
    3. Request that Student Financial Operations or the cashier lift your financial hold. This is not done automatically. Call 734-764-7447.
  5. Meet with a BBA Advisor: Preferred Admits are required to schedule an appointment with your assigned advisor in the BBA Program Office to discuss academic planning and any other questions/concerns. Students should schedule appointments through our Academic Counseling site starting March 3, 2008 and no later than March 21, 2008.

II. Backpack: March 19 - 30

  1. View your assigned registration appointment time at Wolverine Access beginning March 19.
  2. Backpack core BBA classes: March 19 through assigned registration appointment time.
  3. Backpack other non-Ross classes: March 19 through assigned registration appointment time.
  4. Friday, March 28: Ensure that you have cleared any Financial Holds on your account.

III. Register for Winter Classes: March 31 - September 1

  1. Monday, March 31: Registration appointment times begin to open for undergraduate students. You will be able to add courses to your schedule via Wolverine Access beginning sometime after March 31.
  2. Through September 1: Throughout this time you can continue to modify your class schedule if desired, using Wolverine Access. Be sure to be aware of registration deadlines for dropping/adding classes as you near the start of the term.
