MAP
provides a top-quality learning experience for both students and
companies. Ross students have completed more than 1,260 projects at over
640 companies since 1992. Through MAP, student teams work full-time with
companies on projects that test students' skills, produce valuable
information for sponsors, and stimulate exchanges that benefit scholars
and business practitioners alike.
MAP is integrated into
the core curriculum for academic credit and is conducted under the
guidance of faculty advisors. As the final course
before graduating, Asia Global MBA students are given the opportunity to
integrate the concepts they have acquired through their academic career
to design or improve a business process or provide the solution to a
problem that ultimately produces valuable information for
client-sponsors.
With their MBA coursework behind them and an average of 9 years
managerial level experience before joining the program, teams of 4 to 6
Global MBA students successfully manage project scopes considerably
broader than that of a typical internship. Projects are primarily
developed in U.S. companies but may be developed in other locations upon
the request of program partner companies.
If you are considering
hosting a project, please see the message below to Potential Project
Hosts.

- Message for Potential Project Hosts
Without corporate involvement, there would be no MAP.
The Ross School of Business has been fortunate in
being able to partner with outstanding local, regional and international
companies in bringing the MAP concept to life. These partnering organizations
contribute directly to the development of tomorrow's business leaders.
Through MAP, Ross offers
both domestic and international businesses an opportunity to benefit from
the talents and knowledge of our best and brightest MBA students. The
successful combination of critical thinking, multidisciplinary connections
and real-world applications has led to solid recommendations and innovative
solutions for businesses throughout the world.
Project proposals will be accepted through February 13, 2009. Proposals
will be presented to the class for bidding to determine which projects
will be staffed and which students will be on each team. The results of
this student-driven decision process will be announced by March 23.
Accepted projects will begin on May 11 and complete by
July 3.

"We quickly realized how much there is to learn outside of the
classroom. We were exposed to every angle of the business and the
opportunities for us to learn and to improve the business were
endless. At the end of the project, our recommendations actually
changed the management team's thinking and the company was ready to
implement our plan."
