In September, Global MBA students who have successfully completed the core courses in the first and second terms join the rest of the Ross MBA community to take advantage of a broad scope of elective courses—more than 110 courses taught by experts in 11 academic disciplines. New electives are regularly developed in response to faculty and student interests. Some of these courses become permanent offerings, demonstrating Michigan's commitment to innovative thought and contribution by all.

Electives at Other Graduate Schools
As the University of Michigan is home to one of the world's great centers of research and teaching, students at the Ross School of Business develop a well-rounded global perspective through cross-campus alliances. Michigan's prestigious, top-ranked graduate schools of Law, Medicine, Engineering, Education, Public Policy and Natural Resources work together with the business school to address current global issues and their relationship to business. MBA students may broaden their experience by electing up to 10 hours of graduate level courses at other University of Michigan schools.

Independent Research Project

Individual and group research projects, supervised by faculty, are available to MBA students in good academic standing. Before beginning any research project, students consult with the appropriate professor to determine the scope of the assignment. Students may earn one to three credits per project. Students may elect only one research project in a term, with a maximum of six total credit hours counting toward degree requirements.

"This is a well-organized program for people working in Asian countries or for Asian markets. I had the opportunity to meet many distinguished managers—colleagues from many different backgrounds who expanded my perspective of the global business world in which we live and work. My classmates are tomorrow's business leaders. The Ross Global MBA Program has given me access to an incredible networking community."
