Global MBA

A Selective Program for Exceptional Leaders

The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is built on core values designed to emulate those in contemporary business, and keep our MBA students connected to the business world. Simply put, the Ross difference is that its students' active participation becomes the mechanism for learning. That process is brought to fruition through our commitment to create a holistic management education - one that focuses on how one learns, as much as what one learns. The Global MBA takes this approach even further by incorporating this process into a MBA program offered exclusively to corporate managers.

The Ross Global MBA is designed to offer companies an opportunity to educate the managers targeted to lead their company into the future. At Ross, we clearly understand the educational needs of companies and their experienced managers. In addition to a solid MBA curriculum, managers expect diverse opportunities and best-of-class training in all disciplines -- from finance and marketing, to corporate strategy and entrepreneurial studies. They expect to have the opportunity to develop a personal network with elite managers from major international firms as well as with the Ross faculty. Likewise, they expect to be exposed to global perspectives and trends shared by both the faculty and classmates.

The Global MBA Program is carefully designed to meet these expectations by offering a balance of core skills, intellectual capital, and action-based learning to those managers who have won the support of their company.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Unique Program Structure: Our program is designed to meet the unique needs of experienced corporate managers who are targeted to lead their company into the next generation. Only those with corporate sponsorship may apply.

Distinguished Degree: All Ross MBA programs adhere to the same rigorous curriculum and requirements and all Ross MBA graduates receive the same degree.

International Reputation: The Ross MBA is consistently rated among the best MBA programs in the world.

Flexibility: Ross� MBA offers the ability to select from more than 110 courses taught by experts in nine academic departments. Students may further broaden their experience by electing up to 10 hours of graduate study in other University of Michigan Graduate Schools, by performing independent research for credit, by participating in our International Exchange Program, or by taking advantage of one of our dual degree programs.

Network Building: Students build relationships with elite managers from leading global companies, students from all over the world, and the vast international Michigan alumni network�the largest in the world.

Concentrated Learning: Ross understands that time is a valuable asset for corporate managers and their sponsors. To minimize job absence of talented employees, our program offers the first and second year MBA courses continuously without summer vacation and completes in 16 months.

Distinguished Faculty: The entire program is taught by Ross faculty. Faculty members teaching the core courses invite students to join them for lunch and dinner in small groups and hold office hours exclusively for Global MBA students. These relationships last well beyond the conclusion of study.

Diverse Cultural Learning: Students spend one month each in Japan, China, and Korea and then 13 months in Ann Arbor, Michigan with the diverse student body. The school offers tours in each country to facilitate opportunities for students to expand their understanding of local business, history and culture.

Extracurricular Activities: Throughout the program, students are offered diverse extracurricular programs - workshops, lectures and seminars to strengthen their understanding of business skills.
