Mr. Nelson received his degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1989. In addition to servicing as a part-time faculty member in the Ross School of Business, Mr. Nelson is the co-Founder and President of Clarkston Consulting, a consultancy specializing in assisting Consumer Products and Life Sciences Companies. Mr. Nelson is a Lecturer focusing on business information technology and the professional services industry. Utilizing his 21 years of management and business systems consulting, Mr. Nelson brings the classroom to life as a realistic consulting environment where students put into practice their full academic curriculum.
Mr. Nelson’s experience as a consultant includes engagements with several Fortune 500 companies including Dow Chemical, Kimberly-Clark, Pfizer, Marriott International, and Cardinal Health. An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Nelson co-founded Clarkston-Potomac Group, a business that has grown to over 250 professionals, $50M+ in annual revenues, and five operating companies. Mr. Nelson is an active board member at Clarkston-Potomac Group. He resides in Northville, Michigan and enjoys golfing, boating, and being the father of three children. |
