Tauber Institute for Global Operations
The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a partnership between the Ross School of Business, College of Engineering, and an Industrial Advisory Board. The Institute meets industry's need for a new kind of graduate – one who has an exceptional academic background, extensive professional experience, and most importantly, can successfully integrate business and engineering perspectives to lead global operations into the future.

William Davidson Institute
The William Davidson Institute is dedicated to developing and disseminating expertise on issues affecting firms in transition and emerging market economies. Integrating research, executive education, and practical project-based assistance, the Institute generates knowledge and offers unique educational opportunities to individuals as well as indigenous and Multinational companies operating in transitional economies.

University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute
University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) was founded in 1965. Some 680 short- and long-term research projects have been carried out in broad areas involving accident data collection and traffic safety analysis, bioengineering, human factors, mechanical engineering, psychology, economics, public policy, and marine systems. In addition, numerous multidisciplinary research programs are currently being conducted with other units of the University involving specialized areas of engineering, business, medicine, and public health.

Japan Technology Management Program
The Japan Technology Management Program (JTMP) was established to assist American industry to learn from Japanese approaches to the management of technology. This mission is accomplished through research projects on strategic and organizational aspects of technology management, dissemination of that research to practicing engineers and managers, and the education of engineering and management students.

The Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise
Created in 1996 through the generosity of Frederick A. Erb (BBA ’47) and his wife, Barbara, the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise is a 50-50 partnership between the School of Natural Resources and Environment and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. The Institute fosters professional education, public outreach and scientific scholarship supportive of the transition to sustainability – that is, meeting the fundamental needs of a growing human population in an equitable manner within the means of nature.
