Research Interests

I am interested in the historical development and reconfiguration of the employment relationship.  Specifically, I examine the structures which support the social contract between workers in firms, how those structures have changed, and the ways in which individuals understand and respond to the changing nature of work.  In addition, I am interested in the role of welfare privatization and its impact on the employment relationship and our understanding of corporate social responsibility.
