Stephen is interested in decision-making in competitive environments. Recent projects explore the impact of ranking information on people's willingness to enter profitable joint ventures. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Psychological Science.

Stephen was previously a Research Fellow at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and has held visiting faculty appointments at London Business School and MIT's Sloan School of Management. His corporate experience is in marketing at Charles Schwab, Merrill Lynch, and Wells Fargo.
