LAW

Law plays a central role in value creation by business firms and other organizations throughout the world. Business decisions require an understanding of antitrust law, contract law, corporate governance, employment law, environmental law, intellectual property, product liability, securities regulation and many other areas.

Given the important role of law in commerce, the mission of business law faculty at the Ross School of Business is (1) to develop leaders who understand the legal aspects of their decisions and responsibilities and (2) to discover and communicate knowledge that will increase understanding of, and improve, the law affecting business theory, practice and institutions.
