The Department of Accounting at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is an integral part of all of the School's degree and non-degree programs. The Department offers courses in the BBA, MBA, Evening MBA, Global MBA and Executive Education programs. In addition, the Department is responsible for the specialized graduate program at the RSB, the Master in Accounting (MAcc) program. The Department of Accounting is supported by the Paton Accounting Center. The mission of the Paton Center is to do all that is necessary in order to maintain our tradition of excellence in accounting education. Excellence in accounting education is driven primarily by the effective interactions between outstanding students and outstanding faculty. The Paton Center operates various funds which provide support for students and faculty. Its mission is achieved by facilitating activities that attract and help to retain students and faculty of the highest caliber. The Paton Center and its many specific initiatives, such as the Kapnick Workshop Series, have played a central role in maintaining the tradition of excellence in accounting education at the Ross School of Business.
