ANN ARBOR, Michigan – On June 23, 2011 at the annual Global MBA dinner, Professor E. Han Kim, Director of the Global MBA Program, presented the Ross Leaders in Thought and Action Award to Class of 2011 President, Masashi Nishio of ITOCHU Corporation. The award is an honor presented to graduating MBA students who have distinguished themselves and have made a significant and lasting impact on the Ross community through their innovative ideas and leadership talents. Masashi is pictured here receiving the award from Professor Kim.
Masashi was recognized for being a leader among his peers throughout the program. As class president, he led the class in social and academic events throughout the program; including spearheading fundraising efforts for the March 2011 tragedy in Japan. He actively pursued relationships outside of the comfort of the Global MBA class to expand his network to include MBA’s from all other Ross programs and his assistance in helping Class of 2012 students acclimate to the program and prepare for their experience in Ann Arbor was invaluable. We are grateful to Masashi for his contributions to the program.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - On Saturday, October 1, the Class of 2012 joined more than 111,000 other football fans at Michigan Stadium as Ross' East Asia Management Development Center hosted them to an afternoon of Michigan Football. The students pictured below were all smiles in spite of the cool weather. The noon game had a chilly start, but the Wolverine's turned up the heat throughout the stadium as they worked their way to a win over the University of Minnesota.
The Wolverines dominated the first half of the game with a score of 31-0 at the break. The team remained strong in the second half resulting in a 58-0 win for their Big Ten opener. The following weekend, October 8, the team won the match against Northwestern boosting their overall record to 6-0 where it stands today. Michigan Stadium, also known as the 'Big House', is the home of Michigan Football. As one of the country's most classic, widely recognized sport facilities, Michigan Stadium has come to symbolize the pride, tradition and excellence of the University of Michigan.
